Dehumidifier Dehumidification of Underground Power Station

Affected by topography and other factors, many large-scale hydropower stations proposed, under construction, and already built have chosen the form of underground powerhouses. Generally, underground power stations are composed of three-dimensionally intersecting chambers, which are dozens of meters underground. The underground chambers are covered by very thick rock layers. The ventilation conditions of the underground powerhouses are not as good as those of the above-ground buildings. Therefore, the underground powerhouses are prone to "tidal waves". ", "hot", "stuffy" and so on. The indoor heat and humidity environment of the building affects the health and comfort of the human body, the safety, normal operation, and service life of the equipment. The measured data show that, under the design conditions, the indoor temperature of most power stations is lower than the design value, and the relative humidity is higher than the design value. The problems that the power station management department reacts to ventilation are mostly concentrated in some parts of the wet, which affect the safe operation of equipment and so on. The response to temperature is mostly sultry and uncomfortable. So the indoor hot and humid environment must not only meet the conditions to ensure the normal operation of the equipment, but also meet the hygienic requirements of the working environment of the equipment management and maintenance personnel.

Hydropower plants are generally deeply buried underground powerhouses, which are not exposed to sunlight, and the surface of the enclosure structure disperses moisture, so the underground buildings are in a wet state all the year round. The generator layer and busbar layer are less affected by humid air, while the relative humidity of the turbine layer and volute layer is often too high, even reaching more than 90%, and water seepage and condensation often occur in the workshop. If the underground space is in a wet state for a long time, it will reduce the service life of the electromechanical equipment in the workshop and affect the health of the staff. The problem of humidity has always been a major problem in the underground powerhouses of hydropower stations. Therefore, it is very necessary to study the problem of indoor thermal and humid environment. It is very meaningful to solve the problem of humidity and to effectively control the wet environment.

In the underground power plant, the moisture problem mainly occurs in the turbine layer, volute layer and some other underwater rooms, while the generator layer and the busbar layer have very few moisture problems. A certain amount of humidity is related, but according to the analysis of the measured data, most of the main reasons for humidity are not because of dampness , but because these rooms have large heat dissipation and low temperature.

The high humidity of the air entering the room causes excessive moisture on the lining surface, and water droplets are formed on the surface of pipes and equipment. There is open water on the ground for a long time in the underground powerhouse of the hydropower station, and there is also condensation on the surface of the pipeline.

It is not only necessary to ensure the humidity requirements of the indoor working environment, to meet the more suitable working conditions of equipment and staff, but also to consider the investment to avoid waste of funds and energy. Considering comprehensively, the relative humidity in the underground workshop should not exceed 80%.

Power station dehumidifier

Therefore, underground buildings generally have the phenomenon of high humidity and low temperature. A dehumidifier can be used to remove water vapor from the air for dehumidification. However, the human body has a certain range of adaptation to temperature changes. If the room temperature in summer is much lower than the outdoor temperature, it will make people feel uncomfortable. Therefore, the underground building not only needs to be cooled and dehumidified in summer, but also needs to be heated up at the same time after cooling and dehumidification, and also needs to be heated up after cooling and dehumidification in winter.
