Dehumidifier Common Failures and Solutions


Dehumidifier effect is not obvious, the compressor automatically stops after working for a period of time.

Check the fault: 

(1) Check the evaporator, the surface condensate evenly, proving that there is no blockage; 

(2) Check the condenser also did not find a large temperature difference between the tubes, proving that the condenser is not blocked; 

(3) The compressor automatically stops after working for a period of time, while the fan operation and control system is normal.

(4) Check the compressor overheating protection, there is no action; 

(5) Estimated compressor failure, the compressor machine protector action, so that the compressor automatically shut down. An inspection found that the compressor just stopped when the winding resistance and cold machine resistance value is not consistent.

Maintenance method:  Change a new compressor, dehumidification function back to normal. The old compressor due to winding resistance is not stable, the winding temperature rises faster when energized, the compressor protector action, so that the compressor automatically stops and can not be normal dehumidification. Due to the increase in internal resistance, so power consumption also increased.

When the dehumidifier is working, the user found the running vibration is very large, the dehumidification effect is not good, or even can not dehumidify.

Check the fault:

 (1) Check the evaporator, found no condensate on the surface of the evaporator; 

(2) Touch the high pressure tube, only warm (normal should feel hot) can be judged as refrigerant leakage; 

(3) Check the refrigeration tube system, and found that the high-pressure tube and condenser interface with oil traces (leak point), is a strong vibration caused by the rupture.


Maintenance methods: 

(1) Use the oil stain method (or soap bubble method) to find out the crack and repair the leak; (2) Pressure leak detection and vacuuming.

(2) Refill refrigerant.

(3) Turn on the dehumidifier to find the cause of mechanical vibration, and find that the unloading device cannot be operated, which is the problem of electromagnetic

(3) Turn on the dehumidifier to find the cause of mechanical vibration, and find that the unloading device can't operate, which is caused by the failure of solenoid valve. 

(4) After replacing the solenoid valve of the same type, re-check the leakage, evacuate the vacuum, fill the specified amount of refrigerant, turn on the machine again, and the problem is solved.
